David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido is an award winner Afrobeat musical. The star came into limelight with his award winning hit track called “Dami Duro”. Singer, songwriter and record producer is created with many hit tracks, some of which include “Gobe”, “Skelewu”, “If”, “Fall” and many more. Birth Of Davido:

Davido is born David Adedeji Adeleke on November 21, 1992 to the family of Mr and Mrs Adedeji Adeleke. The start was born at a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. His is the thrid son of his father and also the youngest of five siblings.

School:

Davido hold a bachelors degress in musical from a university in Lagos. The Afrobeat star graduated with a 1st dergee from from Babcock University in July 2015. Before his graduation, he attended British International School in Lagos, where he complete his secondary school. At age 16, Davido went to the U.S. to study business administration at Alabama, Oakwood University. He later dropped out to porsue his musical career.

Relationship With B-red:

Adebayo Adeleke aka B-Red is a cousin to Davido and they both started and formed the musical group called KB International. KB International was where both Nigeria musical career started, include Sina Rambo.

Music Talent:

Davido take after his mother Veronica Imade Adeleke who was also a musician. She was a singer and a song writer. Davido’s uncle, who is B-red father is a lover of music also well as his cousin B-red.

Davido’s Mother:

Davido’s mother Mrs Veronica Imade Adeleke was born in Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. She was born on November 23, 1963 and died on March 6, 2003. Before her death, she was a former lecturer at Babcock University and also a singer. Mrs Veronica Imade Adeleke had two children was are David aka Davido and Sharon Adeleke. Mrs Veronica Imade Adeleke was married to multibillionaire Mr Adedeji Adeleke.

Davido’s First Hit Track:

Davido’s first hit track was “Dami Duro” a single from his 2012 debut studio album, Omo Baba Olowo. The song saw the Afrobeat star winning the Hottest Single of the Year award at the 2012 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and also the Most Gifted Newcomer Video of the Year award at the Channel O Music Video Awards. The song also got a remix featuring the Senegalese American singer Akon.

Davido’s Wife:

Davido is married to 29 years old Chioma Avril Rowland who is from Owerri in Imo State, Nigeria. Chioma has a a degree in Economics from Babcock University, where she met Davido. In 2018, Davido released a hit song titled “Assurance,” which he dedicated to his now wife Chioma. The video of the song also featured Chioma. In 2019, Davido and Chioma got engaged and on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 the couple wedded at the Harbour Point Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

Davido’s Children:

Davido has five children two of whom are boys and the other three girls. Among the children are twins a boy and a girl. It could be recall that in October 2023, the star confirmed the arrival of the twins. Davido had a son called Ifeanyi Adeleke, who died after drowning in a swimming pool at the family’s Banana Island residence on November 1, 2022. Ifeanyi celebrated his 3 years old birthday just few weeks before his death.

First Major Collabo:

Davido’s first major collabo was with Akon on the remix of the song “Dami Duro”. This was after the star of worked with the likes of 2 Face Idibia,  Naeto C, Kayswitch, Ice Prince, B-Red and Sina Rambo. The star has also worked with Chris Brown and Angelique Kidjo.
