Olamide popularly referred to Baddo is one of Nigeria’s best selling rap/Afrobeat artists. Born on the 15 of March 1989, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji has successfully created a name for himself in the Nigerian music industry. He began his musical journey when he signed for ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes. The star released his first studio album titled Rapsodi back in 2011 with the hit track “Eni Duro”. The album also contain hit track like Omo To Shan that featured Wizkid.

Olamide’s journey to success has not been easy as the rapper has seen all the  sides of the coin. He is known for putting out albums ever year since his first album was released back in 2011. He is a record label boss, a songwriter, a producer and an award winning singer. In 2015, he won an award for the Artiste of The Year and in 2023, his song “Amapiano” was nominated at the 66th Annual Grammy.

Zlatan Ibile:

Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael aka Zlatan Ibile is a rapper, singer and founder of Zanku records. He was born on 19 December 1994 came to limelight after his guest appearance on the song “My Body” with Olamide. Zlatan in an interview was revealed that the YBNL boss took him and help recorded his first song. According to him, he did all this without ever talking about it to anyone.

Adekunle Gold:

Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko popularly known as Adekunle Gold was born 28 January 1987. The afrobeat star which is currently signed to Def Jam Recordings, shoot to fame with the hit single “Sade”. His first album titled Gold was released back in 2015. The now husband to SIMI, one revealed that Olamide was the reason for his success. According to him, his formal record label boss was the one that took him to London for the first time.

Fireboy DML:

Fireboy DML real name is Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan and he was born February 5th 1996. The star how grew up in Abeokuta, Ogun state is signed to Olamide’s YBNL record label. His first studio album titled Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps was released in 2019. Aside been signed to Olamide’s YBNL record label, the Abeokuta born star revealed that he struggled with writer’s block until he was helped by his record label boss. He revealed that it was he Olamide who reached out to me himself and encourage him to stay strong and believe in himself.

Portable:

Portable is born Habeeb Okikiola and was born on 12th of March 1994. The Ogun State born star was introduced to YBNL boss Olamide by Poco Lee. Portable boost into limelight after Olamide featured on his hit track, “ZaZoo Zehh”. He has always attribute his success to the YBNL boss saying he is nothing without his influence.
